Campfire Interactive Launches New AI Capabilities to Help Automotive Suppliers Protect Profitability
Campfire Interactive launches new AI-powered tools to help automotive suppliers improve forecasting, automate workflows, reduce risk, and protect profitability.
ANN ARBOR, MI, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Campfire Interactive is putting AI and automation directly into the commercial processes that determine profitability for Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers. The company’s latest platform release helps suppliers spot margin risk earlier, turn complex data into actionable forecasts, and automate work across pricing, supplier management, opportunities, and quoting. It also introduces AI Insights, which lets users ask questions of their Campfire data and instantly generate the charts, dashboards, and reports behind the answers. For automotive suppliers who need to predict, protect, and grow their margins, Campfire Interactive is the commercial digital twin that drives smarter, more profitable decisions in hours rather than weeks. Unlike disconnected systems, Campfire unites sales, finance, and operations around one source of truth, across the entire program lifecycle.
“Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers don’t lose margin on the plant floor. They lose it in the quote, the contract and the forecast, long before the first part ships. CRM was built for selling and ERP was built for running the plant, but nobody built for the commercial work in between. That’s where Campfire lives, and this release puts AI directly into that gap so suppliers can see margin risk while there’s still time to act on it,” said Alex George, CEO.
Volume Intelligence
Campfire’s Volume Intelligence delivers an improved vehicle forecast. It ingests a supplier’s existing forecast data and augments it with actuals and EDI data to generate a new, part-level forecast, helping drive more accurate projections. Suppliers can see multiple scenarios and the output can be visualized and compared side by side, giving suppliers what they need to make more informed decisions.
Opportunity Management
Campfire’s Opportunity Management gives sales one view of the active pipeline and whether it’s on pace against new business acquisition targets. RFQ intake is automated straight from the inbox, and the system calculates a part-level forecast for every opportunity. Variance reporting compares what was projected to what actually happened, flagging the gap and why it occurred.
Quotation Management (CPQ)
Campfire’s CPQ builds full cost breakdowns for every quote, and calculates the business case behind it: estimates, margin, and profitability. Centralized cost standards and rate tables keep those numbers consistent across the business. Engineering changes are tracked for their cost and pricing impact, and BOMs can now be imported automatically, cutting the manual work of getting a new quote started.
Supplier Intelligence
Campfire’s Supplier Intelligence gives teams one view of supplier performance, risk, and RFQs, backed by AI recommendations and a should-cost forecast for any RFQ or part. A cost reduction command center tracks targets, savings, and initiatives. RFQ intelligence builds a full negotiation plan, with opening ask, target price, and walk-away number. The module also covers supplier quality, compliance, and onboarding.
Price Index Management
Campfire’s Price Index Management runs the full escalation portfolio automatically, pulling the latest indexes, applying each OEM’s formula, and flagging exceptions across every program. Suppliers can upload a contract and let AI extract materials, recovery clauses, and exactly how much is owed. Each exception can be reviewed, overridden, or pushed straight to the ERP system suppliers invoice from.
Program management
Campfire’s Program Management follows every program from award to completion, with APQP management built in to meet industry requirements. Teams manage deliverables and commitments against the program timeline, control engineering changes to product, process, and cost, and track risks and open issues in one place. It ties directly into BOM management and tracks program KPIs.
BOM Analysis
New AI-driven BOM ingestion automatically imports and maps complex, multi-thousand-line BOMs from Excel, and a third capability uses AI to fill gaps in a BOM using data from similar parts already in the system. The release also adds volume analysis, letting suppliers compare volume files side by side to spot differences and trends across program iterations.
"Suppliers don't need another chatbot. They need the RFQ in their inbox to become a reviewed quote, the escalation formula in a contract to run itself, and a forecast that knows a holiday week from a demand collapse. That's what we built, grounded in each customer's own data and under their own permissions, and it's the pattern we'll keep extending across the platform," said Luke Molnar, SVP of Engineering at Campfire Interactive.
