Most Sorters need 'chutes', which smoothly brings the sorted goods down to an operator or a conveyor line

That means for the postal and parcel service companies, as well as e-commerce companies, that they have to deal with much more and faster sorting all kinds of boxes, parcels, and polybags every day. These boxes come in all sizes, small, large and high. This poses major challenges for postal services, parcel delivery companies, and e-commerce firms. All of these goods must be delivered as quickly as possible.

As earlier a shipment arrives at the customer as lower is the chance to send it back. Returned deliveries are another big problem for the e-commerce companies. For example, after receiving an item from the sorter, the speed will slowly decrease. The items are transported to the receiving point, but just before they speed up a bit, a gap is created on both sides to allow the item to be taken by hand. This makes it easier for the staff to work and pick up and handle the items before they are put on a pallet or similar.

In addition, these used roller bodies are equipped with tires of softer polyurethane, which have properties of a rubber belt conveyor. On these the braking and shifting effect is better to control than on steel rollers.
The same operation would also be more comfortable for automatic handshake to a conveyor.
The manufacturer of these chutes has extensive experience with a wide variety of chute designs. The longest one had to run between three storage rooms in a building; chutes 3 meters high have been built on multiple occasions; and chutes have been designed for small boxes—such as those for smartphones—that were only 150 mm long. It’s not just about the length of the chutes, but also about the incline and, in every case, the connection to staff or other conveyor belts.
